Wilkinson’s Book of  Remembrance

Matthew worked part-time at the local Wilkinson’s Hardware store in town.

Here his colleagues remember him.

A young lad with a lovely smile, a lovely personality, who wouldn’t hurt a fly.

Love, Janet (Manager of Wilko’s)

A boy who grew to be a gentle, caring young man.  A privilege to watch happen and to get to know,

who will be greatly missed.

Maureen (Assistant Manager)

Before Matt came on to nights, not much was said between us, but once he had joined the elite,

he was invited into the ‘amigos’ without hesitation  I will miss our chats about the good ‘ole Ford

Escorts, our arguments on the Gunners vs the Devils, but more importantly the loss of a great lad.

Alex

A very special young lad, kind, generous, considerate, with a wicked sense of humour.

Someone I am privileged to say was a friend.

God Bless, Liz (nights)

Matt was a great friend.  We shared many a laugh up in the warehouse and down

on the shop floor.  We laughed so much that we weren’t allowed to work on Section together again.

He had great tea and toast making skills (he’d burn his toast and spill his tea). He was a fantastic lad.

Kimberley (night team)

Matt and I have been through a lot in the past year.  The good time, the sad times, the laughter and the

hangovers!  I will treasure every memory I have of him for the rest of my life.  I just want to thank him

for being a fantastic friend who was always there for me.  He will never be replaced or forgotten.

‘Love you Fulham’,   Gemma

Mattt was one of the best people you could hope to meet.  I remember an argument earlier in the

Summer about football and how both of us ended up thinking we were so right!  Matt will be

remembered for the little things, like that big cheesy grin he always wore to work which put a smile

on everyone’s face, and, his apparent inability to hold his drink.
